Making a Podcast for Actors
Making a podcast for actors has been the most rewarding and crazy journey. If you want to learn more about success, how to’s, and casting….
Podcast
Was way more work than I anticipated 🙂
The idea of making a podcast for actors (Always Acting Up) wasn’t a random, spur of the moment idea. In fact, it actually stemmed from a blog I had back in 2015 called “Dance-tress Acting Up”. No longer pursuing a career as a dancer, it really only made sense to change the name up a bit. See the name similarity there?
One of the main reasons I decided to start with a podcast instead of a blog was because I felt with the explosion of social media, people just don’t have the time or attention span to “sit around” and read anymore (anything other than a script). So, a podcast where people would be able to listen to information on the go would be a stronger choice.
Fast foward a year into a year of making a podcast for actors, I decided to launch a blog again. This time focusing on elemants that help you look, feel, and perform better in front of the camera and in life.
Things I Learned While Making a Podcast for Actors
This is the intro episode of Always Acting Up podcast and I have learned so many things I never anticipated in the process of making a podcast for actors.
The beginning episodes you’ll notice that I start off with more stories and events of things that have happened during my career, in class or on set. As the seasons progress, I transition more into guest interviews where I allow the experts to share their advice and knowledge towards career success.
Audio Editing
I began this “making a podcast for actors” process not knowing a single thing about audio or audio editing. While I have to admit that I’m still not the expert, at least I can edit my own episodes and problem solve a little bit easier.
It’s been quite a journey so far, so I want to say a quick thank you for your continued support and I’m excited to see where we can take this.
