Step 1, DON’T do what I did.

Looking to be in one of the Dave Bautista movies? Well, me too! I really thought I was going to have a chance there for a hot minute. To be honest, I was really close both professionally and more importantly- location-wise, just incredibly misguided.

In fact, that’s one of the biggest reasons for Always Acting Up podcast and blog. Why should you have to make the crazy mistakes when I already did them for you? Sigh.

In all seriousness, I think there are many lessons to be learned by making mistakes and not trusting your gut instincts. I’ve always called myself a risk taker and go-getter, but that doesn’t necessarily mean making the most random spur-of-the-moment decisions either.

When I first heard of a big movie coming to town I immediately when to all of my go-to resources to see what I can figure out. *Note* see the blog to the right to get an idea of how to find auditions near you. I was ecstatic when I found out it was going to be Zack Snyders, Army of the Dead. I mean hello, it’s based in Las Vegas!
