Audition for Netflix in New Mexico
Podcast
All about Netflix and acting in New Mexico, advice from SAG/AFTRA President
Ready to audition for Netflix in New Mexico?
Well, there’s a lot more to take into consideration than just picking up your whole life and relocating to Albuquerque.
I was fortunate to have an in depth conversation with the local SAG/AFTRA president of New Mexico, Marc Comstock, who told us all about this budding market.
It should be noted, Marc is one of the most helpful and nicest guys around.
Honestly, I can’t thank him enough for the knowledge that he shared with me and my audience.
Netflix Auditions in New Mexico
We all know about the bigger markets like NY, Chicago, and LA, but there’s a growing market in town that really isn’t all that new.
Hello, New Mexico!
I actually met Marc doing an in person workshop with NM casting director Kathy Brinks just a few months before the Covid lockdown began.
Towards the end of class, Marc welcomed everyone to a Q&A regarding the entertainment industry in New Mexico.
Unfortunately, I had to catch a flight back home, and was left with a bajillion burning questions about:
- The entertainment industry in New Mexico
- How to audition for Netflix
- Working as a local hire
- SAG/AFTRA dues
- The future of production in the South West market.
Undoubtedly, I HAD to get Marc on Always Acting Up podcast.
I’m telling you, your questions will be answered and if not, let me know so that I can bring Marc back on for part 2.
