TV Host, Live Events & Emcee

When I began my career as a TV host, emcee, and presenter it was 100% on accident. I just happen to be hanging out with a filmmaker who had just gotten a new teleprompter set up and wanted to practice. Luckily for him, I was an actress looking to get some extra practice in front of the camera. The rest is history.

Fast forward several years and reels later, I have hosted numerous live events, TV shows, and I even host my own podcast for actors called, Always Acting Up.

While I prefer to memorize my scripts, I am proficient with-

  • Teleprompter
  • Bullet Points
  • Improvisation
  • Ear Prompter
  • Memorization
  • Interviewing

All the hard work is worth it when you can give your audience members something of value they can use.

Let’s explore this a little more! Below are a few video reels hosting both commercial, corporate and live events!

Live Presentation from CES

What is the benefit of a TV host or live presenter?

Hiring a live presenter or an emcee for your event is a great idea for numerous reasons.

  1. Nerves! Yes, I get nervous too, but after years of practice in front of the camera or in front of large audiences, I’ve learned how to challenge that energy in a positive way. Stress free is the way to go 100%
  2. Time. Having an experienced emcee or host come to your event frees YOU up to take care of more important things such as VIPs, schedules, meetings, or to simply enjoy the event
  3. Information. It’s a weird thing, but since I only have a limited knowledge of your product or company, I know the right questions to ask. I like to think of it this way, “if I don’t know it, your audience doesn’t either”.
  4. Memorizing. This is a skill, and it takes a lot of practice to get your brain to remember an entire script. Have we talked about nerves yet?
  5. Trained. Besides the years of acting training and commercial classes, I’ve been trained by media instructor and host herself, Shannon O’Dowd.

Let’s dream a little

Well, I think it’s safe to say Ryan Seacrest pretty much dominates the TV host space. Am I mad? No. Do I want to have a career like his where I can produce my own shows and host the NYE countdown in Times Square, hell yeah!!!

Seacrest = goals!

My dream job would be to make all the show ideas I have a reality. I have a passion for adventure and traveling and I can assure you I have a gazillion TV show ideas I would love to produce. I may even have a few slide show presentations and teaser trailers ready to go. 🙂

If you are reading this and can make this happen, contact me…I’m ready….
